This tricky corner site in Blockhouse Bay originally had a single, tired, weatherboard house plonked right in the middle.
We reimagined the site with three brand new dwellings.
After 9 months of design and consenting, construction is well underway for these three new dwellings. The main challenges with this site were the tricky contours sloping down across this site, meaning the need for a mixture of timber and concrete retaining walls.
The existing site is awkwardly triangle-shaped being nestled between two roads. The existing brick and weatherboard house was poorly located on the section and in a tired condition.
Although pushed back by its 3m road setback, this 3 unit development makes the most of its tricky site conditions.
